As a result of the popularity of gorilla trekking safaris in the current travel climate, we decided to dedicate a specialist website to gorilla trekking safaris in order to provide clients with even more detailed knowledge on these amiable primates and where you can track them!
At present, there are four main regions where you can track both Mountain or Lowland Gorillas. Mountain gorilla safaris are best hosted in the countries of Uganda and Rwanda, whereas lowland gorilla safaris are only possible at the moment in the Central African Republic and the Republic of Congo. Mountain gorillas and Eastern Lowland Gorillas are also present in the Eastern Democratic Republic region, however these areas are currently not safe for tourists to visit.
This website is here to provide you with in depth local knowledge on where is best to track gorillas, the best times of year to visit them, the best lodges to stay in, information on the parks where gorillas can be found and how much it can cost!
To date World Primate Safaris (the host of gorilla-trekking.co.uk) has a 100% success rate of tracking both lowland and mountain gorillas in their natural habitats. Not one client that has travelled with us has ever not been succeessful in seeing and spending time with the gorillas.
